The Amah Rock
The Amah Rock stands above the entrance to the Lion Rock Tunnel, looking down the valley along the Shing Mun River to Tolo Harbour and the sea. According to local legend, a fisherman went to sea but did not return with the fleet. His wife waited patiently every day for him, but still he did not return. After a year, the gods took pity on the woman and turned her into stone.
