Page  21  Fitting Ferrules to a Bed Section
The ferrules to accept the anchor bolts have been placed into position after coating the inside of the holes with epoxy resin. Lightly greased bolts have been fitted to align them, clamped into position and then extra epoxy glue added to the void between the wooden battens.

Page  22  Fitting Top Ply to Bed Section
The ferrules have been fitted to this bed section and the styrofoam centre glued in place. All that remains is to apply styrofoam adhesive to the styrofoam, D4 polyurethane glue to the upper wood surfaces, position the top 15mm plywood skin then clamp firmly and allow the glue to set.

The van floor spreaders have been fitted into place by positioning them on blobs of mastic where they cross the van floor ribs, then pressing them down against spacers to obtain an even 2mm thickness of mastic on each intersection.

The van floor styrofoam insulation has been cut to size using a hot wire tool, and a further hot wire tool used to cut channels where the styrofoam passes over the van floor ribs. The foam has been glued into place using a polyurethane mastic.

The van floor styrofoam insulation has been covered with a heat reflecting layer of aluminium foil before screwing down the 15mm marine ply flooor to the spreaders.
